COVID-19 Info

September 22, 2020

Dear Parents & Guardians,

We learned today that an individual at North Elementary tested positive for COVID-19. The individual wasn’t in class on Monday, so no other students will be quarantined. The individual did not show symptoms last week, thus the reason no other individuals are quarantined. Recommended health and safety measures are in place to keep staff and students as safe as possible.

Since day one of 2020-21 school year, we have been and are continuing to:

  • Take temperatures of students and staff every day.
  • We are wiping down all surfaces between classes
  • All staff and students are required to wear masks if they are closer than 6 feet.
  • We have offered masks to students who come to school without one.
  • If possible, we are maintaining at least 6 feet of physical distancing in the school.
  • The students are eating lunch in their assigned classrooms or Kindergarten and 1st are in the cafeteria at different times.

We understand that some parents may be nervous to have their students in attendance during this time. Please call us with your concerns so that we can discuss them and possible options. Please call North Elementary 789-7658.
